Assignment #1: Icons
My objective for this assignment was to create icons for the activities: camping, football, and coffee. For the camping icon, there is a tent, a campfire, and a moon. In the football icon, its showing a football in midair and the sun to show that it is being thrown and in the day time. For the coffee icon, it shows a coffee mug with steam rising out of it because it is hot. I don't really like my football icon as much as the other ones because i don't feel that it is very creative. Next time i could add more detail and maybe even have the field goal in the icon.
Assignment #2: Texture Space Value
My objective for this design was to learn to create texture, space, and value. The first row represents just texture and everything is just black and white. The second row is supposed to be negative space where the black and white contrasts against each other. Negative spacing almost makes everything look more 3D or something. The last row are still textures but they have tones of grey added to them.
Assignment #3: Color Wheel
The objective of this asssignment was to create a color wheel with the primary, secondary, and tretiary colors. But we also had to do in with a design and try to be unique and creative. I used fish and fish hooks in the middle for my design. I liked this assignment because i like colors and it was fun and it is cool to look at.

The objective of this asssignment was to create a color wheel with the primary, secondary, and tretiary colors. But we also had to do in with a design and try to be unique and creative. I used fish and fish hooks in the middle for my design. I liked this assignment because i like colors and it was fun and it is cool to look at.
The objective for this assignment was to mimic Andy Warhol's style. We had to use different color schemes for each square. We used Split-complementary, monochromatic, complementary, and analogous. We played around with the images and the contrast and brightness for each one to make them look bolder. This assignment was fun.
The objective for this assignment was to use smaller photos and place them in kind of a random order but also have a large image under those other images. So at the end we could use effects and still see the large one kind of mixed with the smaller ones. This assignment was fun because the outcome result was really cool.
The objective for this assignment was to mimic Steven Kroniger's work. We got to use size and make it kind of crazy. We had to answer the statement "If i crossed the road, i would...." I said i would go skydiving.
Assignment #7: Blend Yourself
The objective for this assignment was to try to blend yourself into a scene or into a group of celebrities. I used Harry Potter and the gang because i love Harry Potter so very much.......I finally feel like a apart of something...I had to strike an epic pose to look more into the scene like they are. This assignment was probably one of my favorites and it was very fun.

The objective for this assignment was to create an image that had meaning and use one word to create it with. I picked the word Love to create my image. We kind of filled in areas with that one word and outlined the image with it too. Everything you see is created with that one word. I like my word because i really like the image, i think it is creative and i love how it turned out. The shoelaces spell out love too and it is really cool. I didn't think it needed any more variety because i like it how it is and simple. Next time i could try to do some different things just to see how it would change.
The objective for this assignment was to use typeface letters and create 6 typographic designs. We could only use black and different fonts. It was interesting because i didn't know there was so many things you could do to make type look cool.
Assignment #11: Photo + Text Manipulation
The objective for this assignment was to take a picture and blend it on a paper texture background. Then you have to choose a song that has good imagery in the lyrics. The lyrics had to relate to the picture and then you had to blend all the layers together. I choose Remembering Sunday by All Time Low and my picture was taken when i was on an airplane over winter break. I like this project because i like when the product looks really cool and i love the picture and the song.

Then we had to combine them all and make a poster. I chose to make mine black and white because i like how it looks. This wasn't one of my favorite projects but it was alright.

The objective for this assignment was to create different parts of the body in groups. Each member had a section of the body and was responsible for that part. The corpse wasn't supposed to be matching so we all just picked a random body and clashed it all together. It was supposed to be funny and entertaining to look at in the end.
Assignment #14: Career Poster
The objective for this assignment was to make a design poster with a specific career on it and advertise that career. We had to include a description of what that career would do and make a visual image that related to that career. My career was illustrator and illustrators can be flexible and illustrate for any project they are hired for. I made it very colorful because if i were an illustrator i would illustrate fun colorful things that are pleasing to the eye. Its also very simple because it is mostly focused on a small paragraph of text and the visuals. I probably could have tried doing more with the spacing and ground. But overall i like it simple.
The objective for this assignment was to create an illuminated manuscript. We had to create a paper texture and download brushes from the internet and create a whole background. Next we had to pick some song lyrics and place it in there with a font that contributes to the whole assignment. I liked this project because it was fun.
The objective for this assignment was to create a visual timeline for the history of visual communications based on the podcasts we watched. We had to research and use the creative process to make a creative timeline. I did a board game theme on parchment because it was colorful and efficient for displaying my information. This assignment was kind of fun.
The objective for this assignment was to create a combination mark/logo for a brand name. A combination mark is a logo that utalizes type and a visual together to make one image. This assignment was actually really fun and i like how my final combination mark turned out.
Assignment #18: Wordmark
The objective for this assignment was to create a wordmark/logo for a brandname. A wordmark is a logo that utalizes a creative use of type. The wordmark must be memorable and unique. I did my wordmark on a photography company, In Focus Photography. This assignment was also fun because we got to get creative with typefaces and download fonts and find ways to be creative with simple words. I like my finished product.

Assignment #19: Stationary Package
The objective for this assignment was to create a logo for a business and then use it to then create a business card, envelope, and a lettermark. All of which are included in a stationary package. This assignment was fun and i liked the turn out.
Assignment #20: Social Issue Poster
The objective for this assignment was to create a poster for a social issue of your choice. I chose DUI. We had to create a logo and then a portrait displaying your social issue and then combine then to make one big poster. I did not really like this assignment, i also feel that i could've changed a couple things to make my poster better but i did my best with this.
